| 5/99 David Russ, with 19 years of computer experience and 3 years of
HTML experience, graduates Magna Cum Laude (3.87 GPA) from Southern Adventist
University with a BBA in Marketing.
6/99-8/99 David Russ begins studying and upgrading his web development
and programming skills. He also does some private Marketing consultancy
work.
9/99 David Russ comes across an advertising/network marketing concept
that pays end users to use their computers and tell their friends about
the programs; and pays webmasters very well to display banners. He puts
up a page reviewing in detail a few of these programs.
10/99 David Russ puts up The Guide and Ranking Page of Ad Banner Programs that
pay you to be online. Over 15 programs are initially listed. David Russ
begins marketing this page, experimenting with every known marketing scheme
for the Web, and developing a few new ones. In a short while David Russ
is generating 10 hits per day.
11/99 David Russ goes on vacation, but continues to keep his page updated.
However, without promotion time the hits decrease. But, while on vacation, David comes up with the idea
and a rough plan for a new company, DT Web Marketing Specialists. A program
not related in any way to his Paid-to-be-Online programs, this new company
would focus on doing consultancy in marketing, handling companies' web
marketing, helping companies bring their products to the web, and getting
private individuals and companies higher search engine rankings.
12/99 David Russ begins receiving checks from the Paid-to-be-Online
programs and is accumulating substantial sums of money from that. David
also begins putting up affiliate web sites and builds a substantial network
of about 100 independent web sites. He has from his efforts become especially
adept at getting high rankings in AltaVista searches, with AltaVista becoming
his #1 source of hits. Having started to earn an income David is now able
to start investing in paid advertising for his own sites as well. David
registers the domain, WebMarketingSpecialists.com.
1/00 David Russ begins web-design for WebMarketingSpecialists.com, while
continuing to put in 14-16 hour days maintaining and marketing his web
sites and client web sites. Realizing he needs to hire a good content writer
with HTML skills, David begins his search for a good writer. He is extremely
impressed with the writing of his client, Shery Arrieta, a published e-book
(electronic book) author, newsletter author, and e-zine (electronic magazine)
author and editor, with a great deal of experience in other forms of media as well.
David initiates contract negotiations with Shery Arrieta.
2/00 WebMarketingSpecialists.com gets a host and Shery begins content
proposals. David realizes that Shery's HTML and creative skills are as
substantial as her writing skills and begins turning not only that part
WebMarketingSpecialists.com over to her, but hires her to work with him
developing client pages and marketing campaigns. In addition he is very
impressed with one of her e-zines/newletters, Sites, Biz and Zines, which
already has a large customer base and provides web content and information
that is very useful for David's target customers. David begins negotiations
to purchase it. With Shery taking over many creative and writing functions,
David finally has more time to concentrate on Web-promotion and content
coordination.
3/00-7/00 Web Marketing Specialists is busy busy busy with clients. There is a three month waiting list for "full-time" clients.
8/00 WebMarketingSpecialists.com is very busy. It is time for WebMarketingSpecialists.com to further evolve toward its core competency: Search Engine Placement. WebMarketingSpecialists.com begins to lay down plans on what Search Engine Placesment services to offer, no longer taking on new full-time clients. It is a very exciting time at WebMarketingSpecialists.com.
